IAIN Langsas FEBI Holds International Community Service Degree
The Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business (FEBI) of Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Langsa held an International Community Service event attended by participants from Indonesia and the United States.
The event, which was held online through the Zoom Meeting application, raised the theme of Financial Planning and Shopping Behavior according to Islam.
Dean of FEBI Dr. Muhammad Amin, MA, who attended the event to Waspada, Tuesday (2/4) said, Imam of Al-Hikmah Mosque, Queens, New York Munawir Umar, S.Ag, MA, and President of Al-Hikmah Mosque Muhammad Toha also gave remarks.
The main speakers at the event were FEBI IAIN Langsa lecturers Khairatun Hisan, M.Sc., and Juli Dwina Puspita Sari, M.Bus, ADV, with moderator Dr. Junita Safitri, M.Si.
According to Dr. Muhammad Amin, MA, this event is one of the responsibilities of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education carried out by IAIN Langsa FEBI lecturers.
He expressed his gratitude to the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in New York, Winanto Adi, who also attended the event.
"This event marks the beginning of the relationship between FEBI IAIN Langsa and the Indonesian Muslim Community (IMC) in New York. Hopefully, in the future, we can collaborate in various other activities," said the Dean.
The material presented was related to the importance of planning in managing finances.
Because planning is a very important tool to achieve goals, especially when facing important events such as Eid al-Fitr, so as not to accumulate debt afterwards.
